Deco Designs – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all products, services and transactions undertaken by Deco Designs Ltd. whether conducted via our website, email, telephone, showroom, trade account or in-person, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By placing an order with Deco Designs, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • Company / We / Us: Deco Designs Ltd.

  • Customer / You: Any person or business purchasing goods or services.

  • Goods: Carpets, rugs, stair runners, stair rods, borders, accessories and related products supplied by Deco Designs.

  • Bespoke Products: Made-to-measure or customised items manufactured to client specification.

  • Website: www.decodesigns.ie and all associated pages.

 

3. Sizes & Tolerances

3.1 All stock carpets are supplied with a tolerance of ±1.25% in both length and width (BS3655). These tolerances must be considered before ordering.
3.2 Slight variations in colour and texture may occur due to natural fibres and manual manufacturing processes.
3.3 Materials and rugs are cut manually; a variation of ±2cm in final dimensions falls within accepted textile tolerances and is not grounds for a claim.
3.4 Product specifications are manufactured to recognised industry tolerances and may be tested independently.

 

4. Product Characteristics & Natural Materials

4.1 Natural materials may display shading, colour variation, fibre inconsistencies and texture differences; these are inherent characteristics and not defects.
4.2 Samples are for guidance only and may not perfectly match supplied goods.
4.3 Manufacturers reserve the right to alter materials, design or specifications without prior notice.

 

5. Stock Ordering & Reservations

5.1 Stock reservations are valid for 2 working days only and expire automatically thereafter.
5.2 Orders must be confirmed in writing and acknowledged by Deco Designs via email.
5.3 Once acknowledged, orders cannot be cancelled or modified unless agreed in writing.

 

6. Bespoke Rugs & Custom Orders

6.1 Additional charges may apply for custom shapes, sizes or finishes. Estimates will be issued prior to production.
6.2 Full-size templates must be provided for special shapes (circle, oval, irregular forms).
6.3 Tolerances in size and pattern alignment apply to bespoke items.
6.4 Bespoke orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded once production has commenced.
6.5 Manufacturing defects must be reported within 5 days of delivery.
6.6 Handmade rugs may feature natural variations in colour, weave and finish due to manual craftsmanship.

 

7. Orders & Contract Formation

7.1 An order becomes binding once acknowledged by Deco Designs and payment terms are agreed.
7.2 Deco Designs reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders due to errors, availability or suspected fraudulent activity.

 

8. Pricing & Payments

8.1 All prices are quoted in Euro (€) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
8.2 Full payment is required for pro-forma orders prior to processing.
8.3 Carpet fitting orders require a 50% deposit with the balance payable one day before dispatch.
8.4 Trade accounts operate on 30-day net terms subject to approval.
8.5 Acceptance of payment does not transfer ownership until paid in full.

9. Delivery

9.1 Free delivery applies to registered business addresses in Ireland. Domestic deliveries may incur additional charges.
9.2 Standard domestic dispatch charges apply (€15 per item), with oversized items charged up to €60 outside Dublin.
9.3 Risk transfers on receipt of goods by the Customer.
9.4 Goods must be inspected immediately upon delivery and signed for. Any damage must be reported promptly.

 

10. Fitting Services

10.1 Typical lead time for fitting is approximately 2 weeks.
10.2 Site readiness and access is the responsibility of the Customer.
10.3 Cancellations or rescheduling may incur additional charges.
10.4 Installation must comply with BS5325:2001 standards.

 

11. Complaints & Quality Control

11.1 Goods must be inspected prior to cutting or installation.
11.2 Any defects must be reported in writing with supporting evidence.
11.3 Claims are limited to the value of supplied goods only.
11.4 No claims accepted after goods are installed without prior inspection.

 

12. Returns & Cancellations

12.1 Standard goods may be returned within 14 days subject to resaleable condition.
12.2 Bespoke and clearance items are non-returnable.
12.3 Return transport costs are borne by the customer unless goods are faulty.

 

13. Warranty

13.1 A 5-year manufacturing warranty applies to DecoDesign goods.
13.2 Installation carried out by DecoDesign is covered by a 3-year workmanship warranty.
13.3 Warranty excludes wear, misuse and incorrect care.

 

14. Allocation of Risk & Liability

Deco Designs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied unless required by law.

 

15. Ownership of Goods

All goods remain the property of Deco Design Ltd. until fully paid.

 

16. Intellectual Property

All website content and designs remain the intellectual property of Deco Designs Ltd.

 

17. Privacy & GDPR

Personal data processing complies fully with GDPR. Refer to Privacy Policy for full details.

 

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Irish law and disputes shall fall under Irish jurisdiction.

 

19. Amendments

Deco Designs reserves the right to amend these Terms without prior notice.
